Slowly coming into that realization, that reality, that blinding light that is so hard to believe in.
What is there to worry about, if I feel deeply that I am connected to God, and that God is deeply connected to me?
I heard that quote on a radio interview with Drunvalo Melchizedek.
But it is that same message. Jacob sleeps by the road side, wakes up and remembers the staircase of light with angels on it. He is lying right at the foot of it. Saul is on the way to Damascus and when the light hits him he falls to the ground, and becomes Paul.
By the way, Jacob and Saul were traveling the same road, literally. Both were going from Israel north east towards Syria.
George Ritchie, in Return from Tomorrow, explains his own realization. He never understood how those fishermen at lake Galilee could just drop their nets when a stranger came and called them, and said: “Follow me.” Then George, in his own Near Death experience, met that same stranger. And suddenly, when the Light stood in front of him, it was no longer hard to understand why he’d want to follow him.
