There is a difference between expressing anger while radiating it at the world or at others, and expressing anger and owning it.
The first one is like boiling water, letting off steam that scalds.
With the second one I accept the anger and the issue as mine, not belonging to anyone else.
To express anger this way is a courageous act of integrity, honesty and love. This way there is absolutely nothing wrong with anger. It is noble anger.
In the teachings of Swedenborg the process of entering the spiritual world after death is laid out in detail. One stage is called vastation, a weird word that means that the inner character and feelings of a person become laid bare for all the world to see. It is no longer possible to hide anything. That can feel uncomfortable :)
Yet, this is not punishment. This is law in the greater world that we will enter when life on earth is done. When water boils it has to turn to steam; it cannot stay water. This is law. The water is not being punished for getting hot.
In our journey of life we get to boil, we get distilled, we get transformed. The inner becomes the outer. Our deepest wishes manifest. Before death this is called regeneration, after death it is called vastation.
