I am currently exploring a whole new dimension (for me) to flute playing. This was set in motion after commissioning a Healing Flute from Second Voice Flutes in the UK.
The Healing Flute, notes and dimensions
There is the sound and there is another dimension that we can’t hear. Compare to the Japanese shakuhachi: there are the notes and there are the silences between.
Sound vibrates in the air. The vibration is heard with the ears, felt in the body, and received in the feelings. Vibration carries information. Think of a radio signal or Morse code.
Human beings are tuning forks. When we are on the same frequency with each other we resonate together. When we climb to a frequency that belongs to an unseen dimension, to the spirit world, to angels, or to God, then we resonate with that level. And it gets access to us, mind, body and soul.
The flute is powered by breath. The Greek word for breath (pneuma) is the same as for spirit. Whenever it says Holy Spirit in the Bible, it also says Holy Breath.
A flute is made of wood, from a tree. It can be said to be made from a tree’s life and being. Trees are living beings with a specific frequency, purpose, essence and healing characteristic.
Inside the flute are crystals, embedded in the air chamber or attached to the flute body. Crystals are small vibrational tuners, like radio receivers and also able to remember or contain what has been received. A radio in the early days needed only a crystal. Even the electrical power to produce sound was taken out of the air by the crystal. The crystals in the flute get activated by the breath, the sound and the intention of the player. This does something to the sound, in the unseen dimension.
We say that “sound carries,” usually meaning it carries across a distance. Now, we add as a meaning that it “carries” healing, information, feeling, and connection.
When we feel ill or bad, it means we vibrate at a frequency that is below the one we need or want to be at. When our vibration changes, the way we feel changes. When the way we feel changes, we change. The healing flute can do this for us.
